PROMOTE TO REDUCE/COMBAT DIGITAL DIVIDE




Not all of us have gadgets such as cellphones,laptops,tablets and etc. It is because of the reason that it is too expensive or our parents could not provide it for us.Digital divide is the gulf between those who have already access to computers and the internet, and those who do not.How to combat or reduce this issue?



In the recent SONA of our President Rodrigo Duterte.He said to his speech that he will build a free access to wifi in every public areas in the Philippines.For me as a student it is a very big help for me, especially today we need to use internet to research some ideas in a certain topic.But the problem for this is those people who doesn't have any gadgets in accessing to the internet.


The only solution that I can think for is they should start saving money,for them to buy a gadget.Buying a new gadget could be classified as your "needs" or "wants". But for my opinion especially today in the 21st Century we really need to cope up with this era where technology is present and needed.



HOW TO COMBAT DIGITAL ADDICTION?



Digital/internet addiction is any online-related,compulsive behavior which interferes with normal living causes severe stress on family,friends,love ones,and one's work environment.One of the example of digital addiction is pornography which is a really high issue towards teenagers especially for boys. Being addicted to pornography causes for men to imagine dirty things towards women and also women who watches porn got chances to get pregnant.


Not just pornography,the most popular digital addiction today is the app called "Pokemon Go" which causes other people to get into an accident.In my opinion digital addiction could be reduce if we learn to manage ourself. Always think about how this doings can affect your life.If it is bad or good.


HOW TO COMBAT CYBERBULLYING?


All of us are unique in a different ways.But their is always a person that doesn't sees his/her imperfection or flaws so the tendency is they pointing it out on others.Cyberbullying is the use of electronic communication to bully a person,typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.How can we fight this issue?


In my opinion cyberbullying is not just a crime.But also a sin.All of us doesn't have the rights to judge other people only God has the power to do it.In posting status or photos online.We should always be careful to avoid criticism towards others.


ETHICAL USE OF MEDIA AND INFORMATION

From the word ethical means describes a person's behavior as right in the moral sense-truthful ,fair and honest.The proper use of media and information is interms in media we should be a media literates individual has the capacity to understand,analyze and critique the media.

In ethical use of information we should learn to evaluate the information that we will gonna get from the internet.


OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN MEDIA AND INFORMATION


One of the example of media and information is the social media.The use of social media has exploded in the last several years.From friendster to facebook,twitter, instagram etc. Social media is helpful interms in business exposure,strengthening and expanding its networl of contacts etc.


However, internet abuse takes many forms,such as cybercrime,plagiarisms and many more.We should learn not to abuse the important uss of media and information.Because the negative effects will always comback no matter how you avoid it.
