If you ask people to define digital divide, most of them would answer that it has to do with those who have access to technology and those who don't.
For me, even as technology becomes more affordable to us and Internet access seems increasingly, a "digital divide" between rich and poor remains. The rich and educated are still more likely than others to have good access to digital, maybe I'm the next generation all of us can access to technology and we don't have any problems of digital divide.
COMBAT DIGITAL ADDICTION
Do you get anxious if you don't have your mobile device in your hand? Do you have play games in your device or computer? Do have tablet, smartphones, smart television, an iPod and GPS? Do you have social accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other networks?
Technology can be helpful in providing information and enjoyment but overused of it and addiction to technology can cause serious issues to your relationship, your job and your health.
If you can't control your addiction in technology by yourself, you may needed advises by your friends, family or bonding outside with someone just to make your time not always on internet, don't take it seriously because it may cause to your health problems.
COMBAT CYBER BULLYING
Cyber bullying is the one of the digital technology with intent to offend humiliate, threaten, harass or to abuse somebody. Any can be come a recipient of Cyber Bullying. In fact, it is documented that a lot of your favorites celebrities and role models also experienced cyber bullying. Internet is great and you have to use a bit of common sense will help to keep you safe.
Think before you post because people can easily misunderstand what you say if you're not careful how to put it or get to know how to use privacy setting. Think carefully before accepting friend requests. Facebook is now asking you to decides each time you post.
Cyber bullying is bullying end it hurt. Think twice before you click and send, have fun but don't offend people. It's easy to forget that jokes don't always work online.
Should we share that unflattering photo of our friend on Facebook? it is okay to download a song and we post it have rights to? Is this news or gossip? The online world constantly calls upon us to make ethical decision like these.
While this questions challenging for adults, imagine how tricky they must be for young people who are still developing the cognitive skills required for ethical thinking.
In the past adults have played an important role in helping young people with ethical decisions. But when it comes to internet spaces, kids got there first, and adults are largely absent from the online world where children and youth need ethical guide the most.
OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN MEDIA AND INFORMATION
There are many opportunities and challenges in media and information, opportunities like if you want to success your business plan, internet can help you to get information on how to handle your business and the others are using websites to be sure that there products will be known by advertisement. Some opportunities in media and information are you can in online business, you can easy to get information and others.
It is very useful to us especially in our education we can access to the Internet to do researches and it can be gathered more data/information using Internet, but their are some challenges in Media and information cause of the misunderstanding in social media, someone bashing your post because they don't like it or you accidentally put down words that they misunderstood. People you meet in chat rooms or on social networks may not telling the truth - are they really who they say they are? You should never share personal
Information like your address or phone number or arrange to meet up without talking to your career first. If you want to share something private with someone, ask yourself " Can I really trust them to keep it private?" Once it's gone, you've lost control and if this will happen to you the most important is you know how to deal with it.
